2cans of whole tomatoes Or 5 medium sized fresh onespeeled and chopped
1large oniondiced
Jalapenosjarred or fresh (quantity depends on how spicy you want the salsa to be)
Pinchof sugar
Saltto taste
2stalks of fresh cilantro OR parsley
Juice of half a lime
1clovegarlicoptional
Pinchof cuminoptional
Instructions
Get your ingredients ready.
Saute the onion in a dry pan for a minute until it starts to turn yellow.
Add tomatoes and pinch of sugar and let it cook for another minute. Remove from heat and add jalapenos (with some of their pickling juice), garlic, and cilantro/parsley. Add salt.
A squeeze of lime juice.
I like my salsa smooth so I gave it a quick whir in the food processor.
